SaaS marketing sites are built to convert, and conversion tooling collects a lot. Visitors are identified the moment they arrive: Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics, Google Ads and LinkedIn Insight Tag for attribution, HubSpot sets a tracking cookie that links anonymous browsing to a lead record once a form is submitted, and Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity record scrolling and clicks. Intercom or Crisp chat widgets assign each visitor an identifier that persists across sessions and, after sign-up, across the product itself.

Account registration means you hold names, emails, passwords and usage data, and Stripe billing means payment method details, invoices and sometimes tax IDs pass through a processor on your behalf. Free trials create records before any contract is signed. Many SaaS companies also serve EU and UK customers, which raises questions about legal bases, international transfers and data processing agreements, and sell to California businesses, which raises CCPA obligations once revenue thresholds are met.

Investors and enterprise buyers increasingly read privacy policies during due diligence, and a template that does not mention your chat widget or analytics stack is noticed. VerifiedPrivacy scans your marketing site, identifies the services present, and generates a Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Cookie Policy that disclose them, with sections for accounts, subscriptions and governing law. Frequently asked questions

Is a website privacy policy enough for a SaaS product?

It is the foundation, not the whole structure. The generated Privacy Policy covers your marketing site and the account, payment and usage data your product collects, based on your answers. Enterprise customers often also ask for a Data Processing Agreement, a subprocessor list and security documentation, which this tool does not produce. Use the generated documents as the public-facing layer and work with counsel on the contractual layer.

Do I need a Data Processing Agreement as well?

If you process personal data on behalf of business customers in the EU or UK, GDPR generally requires a written processing agreement with each of them, and many US enterprise buyers request one regardless. A DPA is a contract, not a policy, and VerifiedPrivacy does not generate one. The Privacy Policy it produces can reference that a DPA is available on request, which you can then have an attorney draft.

Does the scan cover my logged-in app?

The scan reads your public marketing pages, not authenticated screens. Services that run only inside the product, such as in-app analytics or support widgets that load after login, will not be detected automatically. The questionnaire's questions about accounts, subscriptions and payments make sure the Privacy Policy still covers product data in general terms, and you can add specific in-app vendors when you edit the documents.

Which SaaS tools does the scan detect?

Among the services the scanner recognizes, those most common on SaaS sites are Stripe, Intercom, Crisp, HubSpot, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, reCAPTCHA, Cloudflare and Vimeo or YouTube embeds. It also detects account registration links and newsletter or contact forms. Each detection adds a specific disclosure to the generated Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Do the Terms cover subscriptions and cancellation?

When you indicate that you sell subscriptions, the Terms of Service includes sections on recurring billing, renewal, cancellation, price changes and the refund window you select. It also covers accounts, acceptable use, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law. The clauses are general-purpose and should be reviewed by an attorney against your actual service levels and contracts.

Can I use this for multiple products?

Each domain is scanned and purchased separately, at $19 one-time per site, and each gets its own permanent download link and verification page. If several products share one marketing domain, a single purchase covers that domain and you can describe the products in your answers. Separate domains need separate scans so the disclosures match each site's services.
