Wix sites carry a fixed set of platform cookies before you add anything. Wix's own analytics and session cookies track visits and store consent preferences, and Wix Forms submissions are stored on Wix servers. Business owners then connect the Marketing Integrations panel to Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager, each of which loads a tracking script on every page and reports visitor behavior to its provider.

Does Wix give me a privacy policy?
Some Wix templates include a placeholder legal page, and Wix's help center offers general guidance, but Wix does not write a policy for your specific site. The placeholder does not mention Google Maps, Meta Pixel, Wix Bookings or the payment processor you connected. Is the Wix cookie banner enough?
Wix offers a cookie consent banner you can enable in site settings, and when configured correctly it can hold back marketing scripts until a visitor agrees. A banner is only half of the picture, though: visitors also need a Cookie Policy explaining which cookies exist and why. The generated Cookie Policy lists each detected cookie-setting service with its category and purpose so the banner has something to link to.
Can the scan see my site if I use a free wixsite.com address?
Yes. The scanner fetches any public URL, including free subdomains such as yourname.wixsite.com/site. Enter the full address and the scan will read the published page, its scripts, iframes, forms and cookies. Note that the generated documents name the domain you scanned, so if you plan to connect a custom domain, scan that instead once it is live, or regenerate later from your permanent link.
What does the scan detect on a Wix site?
It identifies Wix platform cookies plus the third-party services Wix sites commonly load: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Maps, YouTube and Vimeo embeds, Stripe, PayPal, Mailchimp, reCAPTCHA and Cloudflare.
